The company’s main field of activity is the finishing of technical textiles for high temperature applications. We develop and produce in close collaboration with our customers application-specific finsihings for the most diverse areas of application.

The base material for our products is, in addition to aramid made of recycled fibers (Para-Aramid, Meta-Aramid and Preox), polyester, viscose and cotton, primarily a fiberglass fabric which was used as an asbestos substitute in the 70s. The company founder Hans-Peter Darmstädter played a leading role in this globally linked development.

It is Darmstädter GmbH’s company aim to produce high quality products and to set production quality at the best possible technical, safety-related and environmentally friendly level. This aim can only be achieved by constant control and inspection by dedicated, certified employees and the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000 for the planning, control and execution of quality assurance measures.
